Permaculture garden - May and June 2010

Page history last edited by Stefanie Kompathoum 13 years, 10 months ago

So, things have been a little busy:

Every day during the season, I harvested about a cup of strawberries from this tiny patch.  I think about 4 quarts.  We ate every single one!

Other happy occupants of the gardens include Johnny Jump-ups, garlic chives, and arugula.

I harvested enough redbud pods (top left) to freeze some for winter stir-fries.  We also had peony, honeysuckle, wood sorrel and lamb's quarter.

Next came mulberries (also enough to freeze) and sour cherries.

I also dried lemon balm, bee balm, chives, thyme, oregano, and basil.

A salad plate of mustard (?) greens, wood sorrel, lamb's quarter, lettuce, cilantro, and cultivated sorrel.
